Welcome to the RC Modelers Builder Page

This page is designed to provide additional info., access and feedback for those of you who would like to build a Geobat or would like more information from those who have all ready built one.

If you've already built a Geobat, please send pictures to Jack_M_Jones@msn.com and I will put them on this page. If you like, I can also include your name and email address with your pictures so others can contact you. This also includes any construction pictures, building techniques/comments or plans deviations that you may have used to finish off your Geobat.

Geobat park-flyer with micro RC - set, powered by an electric ducted fan and Li - Poly cells. Diameter is 51 cm (20.5"). weight is only 142 grams. The wing is made of Depron foam sheet. It's a great, great flyer, fast and slow, it rolls, flies inverted, loops can be very tight (5 feet in diameter), and it glides surprisingly well on power-off. Geobat is a fantastic design!

Foam electric Geobat by Grant Sjaarda. Proving once again there's more than one way to build a Geobat. This is the same foam used for house insulation.

Geobat structure built by Earl Foster.

Geobat by Dave Williams. Dolly is also radio controlled.

These are pictures of an electric Geobat built by a Dutch RC Magazine. I had to have the article translated just to find out what they said. Basically, they were very pleased with the flight characteristics, their only complaint was the vertical fin connection to the rear wing seemed a bit weak. For those of you interested in an electric Geobat, notice the placement of the batteries (yellow & red ) in picture #2 . Hard to see in these pictures but they also mounted lights around the edges. I'm not sure how they launched it but you will notice there are no wheels.

The following pictures are of Joel Cimmino's Geobat from Davie, FL.
